Platform Access

Identify your target environment
Use Development for experimentation and building pipelines, Test for integration and validation, and Production for accessing governed organisational data.

Request Permissions
Request read or write access for your environment. See the detailed instructions below.

Ping the health endpoint to confirm access:
https://<your-instance-url>/api/search/v2/health/readiness_check

Request access

I need read access

No action required. Read access will be granted automatically to all Equinor users across Development, Test, and Production environments.

I need write access

For Production, ensure you have completed the Production Readiness Checklist → first.

Write access is per environment.

Dev & Test — go to AccessIT and request:

  • Development: Dev Write (OSDU)
  • Test: Test Write (OSDU)

Production — requires approval before you can request access:

  1. Complete the Production Readiness Checklist →
  2. Get approval from the Data Office
  3. Share proof with the OSDU Platform Team
  4. Then request Production Write (OSDU) in AccessIT

You'll need your app's Client ID. Don't have one? Create an App Registration →

My app needs read access
  1. Open the OSDU Platform Support form
  2. In Type of request, select Request access in ADME for your service principal/application
  3. In Environment, select the environment you need (or All)
  4. In Service principal AppID (ClientID), enter your app's Client ID
  5. In Service access, select Read
  6. In Justification, explain why you need this access
  7. Click Submit
My app needs write access

For Production, ensure you have completed the Production Readiness Checklist → first.

Write access is per environment.

Dev & Test — open the OSDU Platform Support form:

  1. Type of request → Request access in ADME for your service principal/application
  2. Environment → select Development or Test
  3. Service principal AppID (ClientID) → your app's Client ID
  4. Service access → Write
  5. Justification → explain why you need this access
  6. Click Submit

Production — requires approval before you can request access:

  1. Complete the Production Readiness Checklist →
  2. Get approval from the Data Office
  3. Share proof with the OSDU Platform Team
  4. Then submit the OSDU Platform Support form with Production selected
